Garage Door Installation FAQ's

How long will the installation take?

Plan for 4-6 hours for a double wide door and 3-5 hours time lengths for a single door as an estimate of time to complete your project.

Does someone need to be there during the installation?

Costco does require someone over the age of 18 to sign off before the installation begins and after it is completed. If you have any questions please contact our office.

How much space to you need clear for the installation?

We will need a clean and clear working area to install the new garage door. All cars, boats, trailers, lawn mowers, etc. will need to be moved out of the way. Please see the diagram below (Door width & height plus 1ft on all sides, as well as back to the garage door operator)

Is it OK to be in the garage while the door is being installed?

We love to have our customers be part of the process of getting a new door, however, because of safety reasons we ask that you allow our technician to focus on the task at hand. We want to make sure we are doing our very best for you. Please keep children and pets away from the area during installation as well.

Are your installers all employees of your company?

Yes-we never use subcontractors. All our installers are employees of ours and have a vested interest in our company. They have been trained by our management team in all aspects of garage door repair and installation.
